Want to better understand your child’s learning progress? The TCAP Family Portal gives parents access to personalized information, test results, and resources to support learning at home. Schools are in the process of sending home each student's printed state TCAP score reports from last school year. Once you receive your child's report, we encourage you to visit the TCAP Family Portal for more information about your child's TCAP results. For instructions on accessing the portal, go to

On December 27, 2024, our student information system vendor, PowerSchool, became aware of a cybersecurity incident involving unauthorized access to certain PowerSchool systems. On January 7, 2025, PowerSchool sent a communication to all their customers about the breach, including steps to determine whether our system was compromised. Following the steps within the PowerSchool notification, our BTCS Technology Department conducted a thorough review of our PowerSchool system security logs and internet traffic and concluded that our firewall was not breached; thus, the data on our PowerSchool instance was not compromised.

Mrs. Roberts, Fairmount's Communities In Schools Coordinator, is starting A STEM club to help students to build confidence through creativity! Students will work together to tackle exciting STEM related challenges. They 'll be encouraged to collaborate, share ideas, support one another, solve problems, and think creatively! At the end of the 9 weeks, students will showcase their projects to their families and demonstrate challenges they completed together. The expected outcome is to help students develop a love for STEM, improve their ability to work well with others, and learn to creatively solve problems. Students will be encouraged to explore their interests and strengths, which will boost their confidence and motivate them to think outside the box.
Look forward to more information about this club in the Spring!
