On December 27, 2024, our student information system vendor, PowerSchool, became aware of a cybersecurity incident involving unauthorized access to certain PowerSchool systems. On January 7, 2025, PowerSchool sent a communication to all their customers about the breach, including steps to determine whether our system was compromised. Following the steps within the PowerSchool notification, our BTCS Technology Department conducted a thorough review of our PowerSchool system security logs and internet traffic and concluded that our firewall was not breached; thus, the data on our PowerSchool instance was not compromised.

Students will work together to tackle exciting STEM related challenges. They 'll be encouraged to collaborate, share ideas, support one another, solve problems, and think creatively! At the end of the 9 weeks, students will showcase their projects to their families and demonstrate challenges they completed together. The expected outcome is to help students develop a love for STEM, improve their ability to work well with others, and learn to creatively solve problems.
