Leader In Me Help

General Help

You can pull the PDF file off of The Leader in Me site. Type “Leader Guides” in the LIM search bar to find a PDF version of your teacher and student leader guides.
LIM Resource
  • THEN, save the PDF somewhere that you will remember.
  • Then go to print as you usually would, but instead of choosing your grade level printer or the lab copier, select the option that says print to PDF. (It could say Adobe PDF, Microsoft Print to PDF, or some other play on words that includes PDF) It will ask you to name the file, again, I suggest saving it to a place you can remember with a title similar to the assignment you want students to complete.
  • After you have the pages in a file, you can upload them into your Google Drive. (We all already have google accounts with BTCS, log in to your BTCS Google Drive with your regular username and password like you do to get into ClassLink. J) (Also, if you have connected a personal google account, it will sometimes save there, which is frustrating, but fixable!)
  • From there, you can create a Google Cloud assignment. (More details about that are in the video link I posted above!)
  • I have checked in with the curriculum team, using google external tools such as google docs (Word) and google slides (PPT) is an allowable platform to use. These work similarly to Google Classroom, but they are different. When students complete assignments, you will be able to grade them in Canvas with the speed grader.
  • You will also have to authorize Google in your Canvas settings. It only takes like 2 clicks and 10 seconds. This sentence is longer than that will take!
  • Reading through that process is actually more time consuming than completing the process.
  • Google docs, slides, and cloud assignments probably sound like “one more thing” at this point, but it can actually really save you a lot of time and heartache if you get it set up now.

    3. Explore the Resource Collection.

Additionally, we created a 20 minute webcast, providing an overview of this new tool. Check it out here.  Because I know some of you would prefer to have time to go through the resources with me I’m hosting a webinar on Thursday, August 20th from 3:30-4:30 EST to provide an overview of this new tool.
